Simranjeet Singh’s performance helped India to beat Belgium

Indian men’s hockey team created a victory in fifth and last game and maintained a 100% record on their Tour of Belgium, to outperform reigning World and European champions Belgium 5-1.

World No 5 India won all five Tour games, 2-0 beating Belgium in the opening match, 6-1 and 5-1 wins against Spain in the following two matches, before finishing their Tour with two more wins (2-1 and 5-1).

In the fifth match, Simranjeet Singh, 7th, Lalit Kumar Upadhyay, 35rd (46th), Vivek Sagar Prasad, 42nd (42nd)) and Ramandeep Singh, each won the Indian team for one goal.

Playing at home ground, Belgium, the World Champion tried to enter the Indian hitting ring but had a tough battle and the Indians held their 100% record in the 5 matches by intercepting in the last trimester.
