Kapil Dev, the legendary Indian Cricketer, was rewarded at the ‘Sportstar Aces Awards’ with Lifetime Achievement Award.
Kapil Dev is seen as one of the best cricket players ever and was one of India’s fittest cricketers.
The golden hour of Kapil came in 1983 when he captained India at its first World Cup championship title when his team stunned West Indies two times in the finals. Kapil played a big part in India’s progress, particularly during Zimbabwe’s match when he struck down an unbeatable 175 to pull his side out.
The 61-year-old is still the top Indian wicket-taker in pacer tests with 434 wickets.
The awards are designed to create a forum for the exchange of information and vision as they integrate all stakeholders from Indian sports.
