Anil Kapoor joins hands with a pharma company to donate Rs 1 crore for COVID relief

As the country battles the deadly second wave of COVID-19, celebrities from India’s multiple film industries are coming together to help raise money or donate money for COVID relief. Actor Anil Kapoor has come together with Mankind Pharma to donate Rs 1 crores to the CM Relief Fund of Maharashtra. “I am delighted to unite with Mankind Pharma for such a noble cause. In these unprecedented times, Mankind Pharma has consistently come forward to support society, to the best of its ability,” Kapoor told an entertainment portal. 

“A donation of 1 crore donated to CM Relief Fund of Maharashtra is our small gesture of contributing to the society. We are grateful to superstar Anil Kapoor for joining hands with us for this noble cause. Not only this but as a responsible brand ambassador, he and his team distributed Health OK packets to all policemen in Mumbai,” the managing director of Mankind Pharma added.

Multiple celebrities like Sonu Sood, Bhumi Pednekar, Priyanka Chopra, Amitabh Bachchan and Twinkle Khanna have been tirelessly working towards providing some help to affected citizens of the country. While some have donated money towards NGOs working on the ground, others have donated large sums of money for COVID relief.
