Padmaavat (2018)
Even though Shahid wasn’t in the titular role in this film, it still stands as a film where he proved his talent as an actor in whatever screen timing he was given. He played the role of a respectful king phenomenally. Even as a supporting actor he showed his caliber and was a perfect fit for the role of Maharawal Ratan Singh. He was stunning in the role of a royal king in this magnum opus and made his character perfectly suitable for himself.
Kabir Singh (2019)
This film faced a lot of backlash for its misogynistic content. It did not go down well with a lot of people, however, that did not change the fact that it was one of the biggest blockbusters of that year. Shahid Kapoor played the role of an aggressive lover and a skilled doctor like a pro. The songs of the movie were also a few of the biggest chartbusters of that year. Overall this film is one of the most successful ones in his career graph and there are no second thoughts about it.
